The
DAF Input Channel
is a dual feeding module that can simultaneously feed two print streams of cut sheet and/or continuous
forms on a single platform. This unique system allows color and mono prints, headers and followers to be fed,
accumulated and merged into a single set of any combination before being folded and delivered to the inserter.
This modular mobile unit can feed & read at speed of over 250 MPM A5 to A3 flat or half-folded sheet forms per
hour per feed hopper, as well as dynamically letter-fold up to 8 sheets or half-fold up to 12 sheets. Among
many features and options of this Input Channel are over/under accumulation, pre-fold diverter, code slitters,
2 or 4 plate fold head etc.
MODEL XF
The
XF Cross Folder
is designed to operate either off-line or in-line with an inserting system, for dynamic cross folding
of variable sets before transferring the folded sets to inserter.
The Cross Folder is used to reduce the size of a large document down to suit the carrier envelope size,
both in width and depth. Typically it will accept a vertically folded document from the VAF or
DAF Input Channel, then fold horizontally before delivering the folded set to the inserting system.
